Personal development
Until graduation diploma including advanced arts course in 1977, I tested with different materials but focussing on pencil drawing. After several years of vocational independence I did revive this, but soon I discovered glass as my material. Glass gave me the opportunity to factor the viewer through mirroring techniques into the object happening as well as to put several layers visibly after one another and to create additional layers by means of light and reflection. As an ingenuous autodidact I succeeded to use the technique of Louis C. Tiffany (developped 120 years ago) for plastic objects in so far unprecedented dimensions.Here you can see myself during work with

Each single part serves the appearance as well as the statics wherefore very accurate working is necessary. In this case, it happened at a late hour, that one piece of the size of a credit card differed for 1.5 millimeter from the ideal. Because I didn´t realize at once and continuing work, later I had to remove and replace 120 pieces. The homogenous line management was disturbed optically.
The pieces are being cut, respectively smothed, framed with copper and firstly tacked with tin.
To be able for soldering the fissures nicely smoth, I have to put them into an absolutely horizontal position, because tin otherwise follows gravitation. The device I am working with here, used to be a serigraphy table (see picture below). After bulky alternation, it allows to reach every position in space.
